I'm not sure what's the worse choice I made: Swapping out Daniel Negreanu for Chris Ferguson, or swapping out Mike Matusow for Hevad Khan.
If I could remember everyone else I threw on there I'd list it, but I find it strange that more people aren't adding Erik Seidel to their teams.

I also chose Scott Clements. Home town pick in addition to a smart pick. And Chad Brown. Why? I always see him at final tables.
Allen Cunningham
Daniel Negreanu
Phil Ivey
John Juanda
Scott Clements
Barry Greenstein
Ted Forrest
Chris Ferguson
Gus Hanson

Any thoughts on Robert Williamson III?
Yeah- I played with him before and thought he was kind of a jerk.
Oh- But his is a pretty good mixed games player so definately a solid pick.

Too bad you mispelled Hansen and its not going to count

. I thought about Clements too but he didn't quite make the final 10.
My out there pick is Brad Booth. I know he is primarily a cash game player but I thought the high buy-in events might make him more interested.

Thoughts on Rafi Amit? Know he's an Omaha hot shot and have seen him play the 1/2k HORSE on Full Tilt, will he play most of these or skip for the side action?

Tom Schneider and Jeff Lissandro... multi game players, good, and under the radar.

I have only seen Raymer on one list so far. He won the Omaha WCOOP and regularly plays in the big HORSE game on Stars. He is one player I would definitely make a switch for.
Hellmuth is not a sucker pick at all. He has made the final table in every poker form at the WSOP over the years. There are 3 hold'em events in the pool so even with that he would be a good pick. Also, a national heads up champion winner is probably a good pick for the heads up event.....

If you guys want to see the winning team, just let me know and I will post it on the 30th. You will see the whole package of big game hunters and specialists and all around Poker Greats. The only weak part is probally the Limit holdem.

Oh...wait...you guys are talking about another type of fantasy right?
Although I expect at least one of the Jennifers to do well at this year's WSOP ;-)

i think those are both equally bad, also i think Hevad will focus on the smaller buy ins

I'm surprised anyone would pick Hevad. I've never seen him play anything but holdem tournies and SNG's.

I chose a couple of the quite popular players I suppose , I think Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu are my top two players this year.

I left Ivey off. I guess just going pretty non standard taking a chance he doesn't play a lot of these in favor of the big game. We'll see.

Most Internet players would be nonstandard picks, since they, to overgeneralize play a diverse mixture of hold em, hold em, and hold em. They also tend to play in the $1-3K events instead of the $5-50K events. That said, some young online players are becoming well skilled in omaha and stud games, and will probably make the final table in the World Championship events.

I think it'd be best to pick the players who're gunning for rings, or more rings, live players tend to play more tourneys volume-wise than online players.

Here it is. All the ins and outs (already 2 places in the first event).
ERIK SEIDEL
PHIL IVEY
ALLEN CUNNINGHAM
ANDY BLOCH
DAVID SINGER
PATRIK ANTONIUS
BARRY GREENSTEIN
FREDDY DEEB
AMNON FILIPPI
GREG RAYMER
The Superstar in waiting that I hope no one has Filippi and I sure hope you all forgot about Singer, as he is the one of the most unknown pros and probally the 2nd best all around player in the game today. He might be an even a better Stud player then Ivey. Its all about the large mix games and big game hunters!

Nenad Medic if he was picked prior to his bracelet would it been a good pick?
HockeyPoker
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008, 9:40 PM
Medic won't play enough but its hard enough to take a win so one win might be better then picking a guy who is going to get deep in alot of the events . I think I would rather have bloch at his chance in HORSE event. Medic will be playing alot more cash games then tourneys I personally think. Maybe winning the braclet might make him play more and place more?
