I think I might call this. It looks like a weak ace who couldn't find a fold and is now trying to represent a boat. How many players shove here with a jack? Unless he's trying to make it look like a bluff, because that's what it smells like. I just think AJ does a little more on the flop and I can't imagine Jx sticks around on the turn.

Against an unknown, this is a tough spot.
vs. some villains, this is an instacall.
Virtually any ace is going to try this. Any 9 is going to try this.
A lot of total whiffs and pps are going to try this vs. the button.
I think this might be "take your lumps" time.

I thought his range was either a weak ace or a jack on the turn. When he donk shoved the river I figured he had a greater chance of having the jack because he can't ever expect me to call with a hand worse than an Ace, but who knows if he actually thought about what hands could call before he shoved.

I guess technically I folded, but in reality I timed out cause I had no idea what to do.
