Getting close to that time for our rookie draft (June 1st)!

Payment is due today and everyone has now paid up except for FlyingDonkey, and I haven't heard from him in well over a month, so I don't think he is going to be in this year.

I want to be prepared for this, so if I do not hear from him by the end of the day, I will be looking for a replacement for the league.

I will PM the people who were interested last year first and they will get first priority in getting in. If anyone else is interested, please reply in this thread and I will get back to you within the next week.

This is a dynasty league, where you will keep all of your players each year. It is an every year commitment as well, so please make sure you can do this long term.

EDIT: The team came back, we are no longer looking for someone to replace them.

How the hell did you let him get Brady, Moss and LT? What were the first 5 picks?

The draft was last year, LT was obv the first pick. I think Brady went in the late 2nd/early 3rd round and Moss was later.

Moss was a 5th round pick last year


Having LT Moss and Brady didn't exactly destroy us last year though.

This team got LT, Marvin Harrison at 2.12 (2nd WR taken btw ) and Brady at 3.01. He got Moss at 5.01 but you have to remember this was last year when no one was sure Moss was going to do as well as he did. The previous owner was just a big NE homer.

Damn, I totally forgot about the deadline... I pushed poker, fantasy sports and other stuff out of the way until I was done with school... which was today! I came to log in and ship you the money but I see that you already found someone. It kind of pisses me off because you gave others past the deadline last year and you kick me out only a couple days after the deadline... I've always had a good standing with you guys when it came to money but I guess not anymore since I haven't been around. I paid the other fees so that should have told you something that I was going to be around for this year right? I wouldn't just give you guys money and then take off... I guess can kind of understand why you would kick me out, I should have been checking my email and in here so I apologize for that. I just thought we knew each other well enough to know I wouldn't do something like that... Don"t confuse me with Zsta!!!

Def. would rather keep you than having to lose owners so early. Your team is still yours.

I'm going to have to be an ass when it comes to the deadlines from now on...just don't want to get screwed or anything. Last year we were just starting out and everything, so no one was going to leave at that point and that's why I didn't have a definite deadline at that point.

I e-mailed you, pm'ed you...tried everything I knew of to get a hold of you, so I had no idea what was going on and at least had to start to try and keep the league going.

Just ship me the money next time you're on...update your e-mail on the site if it's not correct too

i actually wanted to try and run one.... kinda different from other leagues and run it more as a test.

instead of drafting players, you draft a team. only 2 rounds obviously, snake style of a draft. position format, QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, TEAM DST. would probally be a 12 team league, although 10 teams could work two. if you do 12, then there would be 8 free agent teams, in which you could pick up a team for a week (for like $10, and being allowed to keep your other two teams) or you could pick up a team for a season (for $25 and you would have to drop your other team).

I did something like this in a hockey fantasy league - it was retarded. Other than the very obvious imbalances between the top few picks and the bottom few picks...When you only own the team..you cannot trade with others, and there are no waiver wire pickups/changes except to replace your own injured players with backups. It's basically a set it and forget it league. No fun at all.

I don't really like the idea of drafting teams instead of players for a dynasty league. I think that might be fun to do for a side pool like we did last year with the survivor and pick em leagues. It would be cool to do it auction style too.

Yeah, I've always wanted to try an auction draft...not sure how that would work over the internet...I'm sure there's a program for it though.

Significantly less than $100 - most of us do between 3 and 8 leagues (i'm looking at you nucks). So I don't want to be fronting $500+ on fantasy football this season

The league fees are $57 per year and the team in FCP 1 has a $25 discount this year and a $25 discount next year because of trades that gave up future draft picks.
