PLO .25/.5, 10 handed
Two limpers, then MP raises the pot to 2.75 and you are on the button with a hand like KK95 (i.e., kings, but no other value). Raiser is a typical player, and not a maniacal preflop raiser. Both you and the raiser have approx. $75 in front of you.
Somehow it doesn't seem correct to call with the sole intention of trying to hit a set...plus being on the button is not that great really, because if it goes to the flop multiway and Villain makes a continuation bet on a dry flop, I'll have to fold because of the risk of running into a check-raise from EP.
So do you re-raise preflop? or just fold?

Kind of a catch-22 situation that's better shown with the example of a real hand.
In the exact situation you've described, I don't mind a flat call to see what happens. I surely don't reraise (might if they were suited/connected kings though) and folding is pretty weak. KK95 can make some straights as well (backdoor preferred) and also, if even one of them is suited that adds some value.

Nice posts Mr. Bundy. You really made me reconsider some aspects of my game. I just realized that any starting hand can make the nuts (except for quads QQQQ--2222), so the best way to play is to limp every hand and call all raises. I started doing this tonight, and I'm now up 5 buy-ins. Thanks for you help!!!!

I suck at PLO, I've never been up more than 3 buyins. Repeat, I'm weak. I need to stick to tournies.

CALL. If this was NLHE and you were playing 22 purely for set value, you would have very good odds to call that. KK is just so strong when it hits a set (unlikely to be out-set, and if it is you can usually put the guy on aces), I call there like always, sitting with 100+bbs.
