Thoughts?

This hand plays much easier if I fold preflop.

My play could not be more passive: cold-calling a pot bet+min raise on flop, then folding turn.
MP had been playing so passively that I was thinking "***DANGER***" when he min-raised. I felt there was enough money behind that I could peel one card.

Does anyone choose to fold the flop? A 3-bet looks really bad to me here, but does someone prefer that option?

Anyone go with it on the turn?

Calling with the intention of folding a blank turn is really bad as you only have 7 outs on the flop and are getting much worse odds there than you will be on the turn push.

You need to decide just how donkish these players are. If you think they're stupid and splashy and could have something like two pair from one guy and a wrap from the other, then you can call down to try to keep both of them in. If you're really convinced that MP has the straight though, you should just fold the flop.

I think I would fold the flop. You are likely against a straight here and it's costing you too much to see the turn.
As you said folding preflop is better.

Fold the flop, its going in on the turn for sure and I'm fairly certain that 3-1 isn't enough to mine for a boat (or if it is it isn't that profitiable)

I don't mind seeing flop on the button with this hand.

I mind calling flop.

Oh BTW, you definitely don't want to fold preflop here OTB against two uber-donks.

I'm glad to hear this advice.

UTG called and MP showed down nut straight as expected (UTG called with naked aces, no draw... *drools*)

Next time I will trust my gut and fold flop.

Perhaps it's spew calls like this that explain my 3-day downswing... sad.gif
