when i've played hold 'em from time to time. i come across the one player who only goes on...how the other players bet. and not by how they see there opponents tell tells, if at all. i usually try to exploit that and usually get my way..with a good fold..(wink wink) do these players how them selves back, by only going by the bets that are laid down, or are they being safe?

i was also wondering if at all..anyone can notice the cards that people look at first then react to when the flop or turn or river comes...how can you look for people who have definite reads and such..with out trying to give your self away that your trying to read then or do they care?

I'm going to assume the players in your home game are most recreational and probably won't be giving out false tells. The ones I like to look for are the obvious and simple ones:

Sitting up straight if the flop hits them hard.
Check/instacall on a drawy flop, they're on that draw.
2 to a suit on the board and opponent double checks cards and bets/calls. They have that draw.
Shaking hands = monster.
Refusing to look at you when they make a bet (staring at flop/into space) they're strong, get out of dodge.
Staring at you after they bet, weak, raise or call them.

Talking to newbs is a great way to get tells, they're usually far more responsive when they have you crushed. Also flash them a card you don't think they'll like when they are struggling over a decision.

HEE HEE tahnks for the advice.. i lately played a game with four other people...the most experienced player easily saw my reads and later on gave me the heads up about them..when i get a good card on the flop i usually do the eyes wide thingy..lol
but i am very happy that he told me and i could work on it..but trying to read him was like looking at a corpse.i hate/ love him for that. but the last hand....he raised i re raised ( me trying to get a read no dice..). i had 5 8 and when the flopp came i had
two pairs..5's and 7's. he pushed me all in and then we turned our cards over i had the weaker kicker and he took my chips away..in the end i felt i played really well that hand..damm kicker. he had a 5 10 in his hand... bastardo!!
but its how you learn eh?
loves it baby loves it lol
