man do I loooooooooove the NLO8 on absolute poker. The game is HORRID, and anyone that wants to ship me a thousand bucks and stake me in it I'd be more than happy to oblige. I literally saw a guy CALL a river bet the other day on a QQ66x board with A3xx, no pair.

Both of these hands are against same villain. Normally I don't play this reckless but this guy was just shipping in stacks all over the place, so I thought I might as well try and get some off him before he donated it all to the others.

Nice to see you slumming it at my stakes. I'd like it if you could play there some more so I could hear your perspective on playing these tables.

Definitely make a smaller river raise. Tiny leads are an epidemic at these stakes. I can't tell you how many times I see players make $.02 or $.04 string bets on all streets. It completely befuddles me too because I have no idea what they're trying to accomplish.

yeah, and he was fairly ez to push out of hands (it seemed anyway) and with time being an issue I decided to go for it. fortunately it worked out for me
jmbreslin
On a more general note, what is your overall strategy for these SnGs? I would think in PLO8 (as opposed to the NLO8's that I've played) you want to play pretty tight early since the pots are going to be quite small and open things up a bit as the blinds climb. Is that how you approach it?
rvrchsrhtr
only have a few minutes b4 I leave work her, but yeah early on try and see some cheap flops and build up a stack then later start making isolation raises and play a little more agg. I have a bunch of hands to post from the .01/.02 PL 6 max tables as well. In general players seem to understand the concept of O8, but betting patterns and position can be used to exploit play pretty ez. I bought in for $5 on 4 tables played a "WIDE" range of hands for an hr and quit up $4 which I'm sure I could've made more if I wouldn't have opened up starting ranges as much. Won't be back on here till Monday, but I'll post some hands and discuss further if you like then. Have a good weekend all. Off to play in the juicy home game tonight so wish me as Hellmuth would say "no bad luck"
