3rd - bring in and easy call of the completion with that many overcalls and all my cards live right?

4th - I'm sure I'm ahead here, and I have the best relative position so I must raise to punish weaker hands right? I was surprised by Seat 5's 3-bet. Should I have capped? I doubt the 8 helped him.

5th - BINGO. Now, is this a textbook c/r? I've paired my doorcard which should give away my hand, so maybe I should bet. Unfortunately we lost seat 2.

6th - now I have to lead.

7th - WTH is he raising with? Since he 3-bet me on 4th I was wondering if he had made 2 pair. Now did he fill up? Is this worth one more raise by me, or just call?

reraise/call 7th, imo. a draw that got there looks more likely than a boat to me.

I think you made the correct decision not capping 4th because of the relative weakness of two small pair on 4th...

You will only improve to a full house 12% of the time with two pair on 4th and your 4 boat cards "live" (from Ken Warren teaches 7 Card Stud)

If you make two big pair on 4th than you can raise and cap 4th but not with 7s and 3s IMO

I disagree with your statement that pairing your doorcard on 5th gives away your hand... you called a completion on 3rd which most likely tells villains that you have

3A 3 or
AA 3
KK 3

or three flush...

*Other wired pairs in the hole also possible...

assuming you have a semi tight/ tight table image

so you're true hand is not given away... its pretty obvious you have trips or Aces or Kings and 3s, but not necessarily a full house IMO

I'd also reraise the river... with no pair on his up cards I don't worry about a full house for him... flushes love to pay you off on this hand

Looking back I think this is exactly the right answer. I should get the 3rd bet in there, but if he reraises, and it's uncapped heads up, I'm just going to call.

Yes, it was the flush.

yea I don't there was a full house out there
