The Cheap Thieves after a pathetic showing lost their AHL semifinal in 5 quick games...The cocky Thieves were never in it from the start and deserve to lose..
Looks like back to the drawing board from Gm Negreanu as his team is not good enough to compete..
See you next year.

And yet you appeared to be quite satisfied to lose in 4 straight to that team supposedly not good enough to compete.
Seriously, are you implying that if given the choice to start over and pick between the Mustangs and the Thieves, you would actually pick your Mustangs?

The Mustangs were never mentioned in the post...I never make ridicolous claims like the owner of the Thieves..
I actually had a succesful season compared to what people predicted for me...

That's Serge's m/o - ignore the failings of those closest while pointing out the shortcomings of those more successful.

I actually made a big mistake and it cost me game 4. I had an empty spot and could have used Okposo in the game- he had a goal and an assist. Other than that, my lineups weren't great (missing Gagne and Perry hurt) and Tony's team is on fire. Going into the series I actually posted that I was an underdog based on the schedule, Tony's team being on fire, etc.
As for next season, my team is going to be better and Serge's team... well, it's going to suck pretty atrociously.
I just put SEVERAL excellent players on the trading block. Always looking to improve and create a dynasty, the following players have been made available:
Alexei Kovalev
Olli Jokinen
Henrik Sedin
Simon Gagne
Eric Belanger
Raffi Torres
Roman Hamrlik
Toni Lydman
Next season I hope to have several ROY candidates in the lineup to take their place am looking to trade some point a game players for some even younger players with potential. The torch has been handed down to players like Anze Kopitar, Alexander Semin, Jason Pominville, Andrei Kostitsyn, Corey Perry, etc. On the horizon for next season:
Bobby Ryan
Kyle Okposo
Benoit Pouliot
TJ Oshie
Nicklas Bergfors
Jack Skille
Kris Russell
Marc-Andre Gragnani
Alex Goligoski
This season the Cheap Thieves finished where they were supposed to. The fourth best team in the league, down to the final four. The team is solidly placed to improve on that position next season and in the seasons to come. Defense is clearly a liability but there are several longer term prospects on the farm that will eventually step in. I'm looking to trade some of my blue chip forwards (in their prime) to grab a young, hot d-man or two in the off season. Possibly a Johnson and Johnson combo, or possibly even a Dion Phaneuf or Brian Campbell.

Oh no, now I'm feeling a bit sick. I would have beat Shoot Loose in game 6 and would have been going to a game 7 if I didn't make a huge mistake and leave an empty roster spot instead of using Okposo. He scored and added a helper in game 4 and that would have won me the game. Big oops there, could cost me a title shot.

The real story is the Big Ms might lose and are playing a seventh game...
In game 5 the only way he loses is if Iginla scores a hat trick on his goalies..Lo and behold BOOM BOOM BOOM...
Good luck to Ed
