So what are your thoughts on who wins the NW division since it is the tightest division race?

Minnesota 79
Calgary 79
Colorado 76
Vancouver 74
Edmonton 67

It should be a fun final 3 weeks when they only play each other.

Even though I am a Wild fan, I am going to go with Calgary winning it with Minnesota finishing 2nd. I don't think that the transactions that Colorado made at the trade deadline will click with each other in time to win the division.

Toss up between Flames and Wild would be my prediction. Pretty close and I hate the Avs so I wish for their playoff demise.

Sorry but am the opposite...I love to see the Avs have a storybook finish and Forsberg and Sakic lift up a Stanley Cup to end their career.

Okay, now you are way too far out of the box!

I beg to differ.

and additions of Foote, Forsberg and Salei have already shown they improved the team. However the lost of Svatos, and possibly Smyth, for the remainder of the season will hurt.

I don't really feel Forsberg has improved the team much yet. How many games has he played? How many points has he had? (too lazy to look)

Canucks win this division.

Canucks win this division.
Vertigo
As much as I hate Calgary, I'm thinking they will win it. Playing very well right now. Minnesota is the other likely candidate. I don't think the other two teams will be able to catch up though.
WestcoastCanuck
If Calgary could find any consistency (and I mean long term, ie playing well for 20 game stretches) they would be right up there with Detroit and Dallas in the standings.
TheBigB11
If Minnesota continues to play defense like they did last night, there is no way they win the division. I am guarenteeing victory tonight at Atlanta.

I still think the Canucks will win the division with Minnesota finishing about 5 points behind and Colorado 2 points behind that.

I hope Calgary wins the division. Better yet I hope they win the cup.
Minnesota will not win the division OR cup if they lose to Atlanta tonight - especially with Backstrom in net. Atlanta should be an insta-win even though the Wild played last night.

5 points ahead of the Wild? Wow, I'm the biggest Canuck fan on the planet and not even I am that optimistic.

Hopefully they win tonight. They are 8-3-1 in the 2nd game of back to back nights, so that should not make a difference.

I just looked up Vancouvers last few games and who they still have to play and you are right, 5 points is a lot to win this division by with that many tough games.

Well Calgary and Minnesota both lost in OT for a single point yesterday. The race for the division is ALWAYS sooooo tight. Minnesota really should have won yesterdays game though. It was one of those MUST wins against a very bad team right now. Should have been a 2 point for them.
