I think I should read "Small Stakes" because I don't normally play any higher than $1-$2, or maybe $2-$5 if I've had a good week at work, but I play pretty much No Limit, and I've heard "Small Stakes" is a limit book, so should I just get NLHE Theory and Practice? Or is SSHE good enough to help my NL game?

Small Stakes Holdem is limit holdem only. It doesn't deal at all with no limit. I don't think it would help your no limit game at all. It's a great book but if you're not gonna be playing much limit get the other one.

I would probably go with "How to get your freak on with a mentally impaired half blind autistic woman half my age." icon_dance.gif

Do you know how to count outs (and partial outs) and figure pot odds to make a mathematically sound decision? If not, then SSHE is a good book for learning that.

I don't think NLHE:TAP is a very good book. It's on topic, though.

I agree with the part about SSHE. It doesnt add much if your not playing limit besides the basic poker math stuff.

Im also not the biggest fan of TAP, but I think its worth a buy as long as you can get a few ideas from it. I have similar feelings towards Professional No Limit Holdem, also from 2+2.

Some other books you may want to look at are The Mathematics of Poker, Theory of Poker, or the new Harrington on Cash that comes out this month..

I already got Theory of Poker...and I can't wait for Harrington's cash game book.

If you're primarily going to be playing No Limit I'd go with NLHE: Theory & Practice.
