Why no preflop raise OTB?

N flop. I get it in there.

Woulda/shoulda/coulda raised there preflop yep. What are we likely to be up against with two callers here? Are we in as good a shape as we think? Push and pray FTW?
Shark527
I dont think a reraise preflop in hand 1. I don't think he's potting preflop from SB without KK/AA or a bunch of broadway cards.

So, did KK outdraw you?

Hand 2. I would push also but I'd be worried about chopping or even losing to some form of 7,8,9,T kind of hand because I don't think a set is potting on a four card straight board.

I get the crazy feeling these are bad beat hands here.
Am I right or just crazy?
bdc30
Nah, if they were bad beats I'd have posted em in the low content thread. I actually won both.

You were just giving us the opportunity to give standard advice.

BTW, I often post hands that I won in the Low Content thread --it's not just my bad beats. I use that thread for any hands that had a significant impact on my session (big pots, weird suckouts, etc.) but do not have much value in terms of tough decisions on how to play them.

In a thread titled "Uber ultra super standard"? WHO woulda thunk it?

Actually....I did have someone arguing on the side of flat calling or folding the flop on the first hand, just didn't have the courage to do it on the board I guess...lol

1st hand is fine given stacks and how the action. If I was a lot deeper and so were my opponents, I would've probably folded to the repop. Don't know what we have to draw to besides a black Q, usually, since UTG came along.

2nd hand I repot/push flop.

In hand #1 we always have Aces, 7's and 9's as nut outs as well (if somehow our flush draw is no good) This is a monster draw.

For hand #2, UTG was the preflop raiser so I was hoping he would check/call with a flush draw (if he had one) and I could suck him in for an overcall, then wake up on any non-spade non-pair turn.
