Burke would be a worthy choice...and the notion that he wont accept an offer from the Leafs in favour of staying with the Ducks is like a player not waiving his no trade clause to go to a Stanley Cup contender...oh wait...

Gainey!

Dreger is an idiot. If bob Gainey leaves montreal, the place where he is a hero and his family grew up in and lives now.... I will not only eat my hat I will find his new house in the TO area and take a dump on his lawn. This has to be the most ridiculous rumour out there.

For the record I find the idea that Burke would go to TO stupid too. Yea I get its a more storied franchise and what not, but Burke has a pretty sweet situation in Anaheim and hes not even a Canadian guy so I doubt he has any kind of boyhood link to the Leafs or anything. I just don't get why you would leave one of the best situations in the league to one of the worst.

the challenge of course...He already won a cup in Anaheim, and might win another one..If he is responsible for turning this franchise into a Stanley Cup winner, not only will he be a saint in Toronto , he will be annointed the greatest executive in the history of the NHL.

PS

If Gainey is hired, I will protest it ...Ken Dryden ruined us...We dont need anymore HABS

Dryden was a Habs spy, sorry about that leafs fans. You didn't think he actually wanted to see the leafs succeed did you ? wink.gif
