I am trying to play more aggressively lately, and for the most part it has been working well. But I have a question about these types of hands.

My stats: 25.63% /17.65%/ 2.92
Villains stats: 19.30% /17.54%/ 6.50

He had been playing pretty aggro, but had shown up with the goods more often than not. But he has only been playing with me for like 50 hands.

Two questions:

1. When we get three bet here, is it alway a fold? I don't really know how to proceed in this spot.
2. I was planning on just folding if I whiffed, but his check screamed of J-J through K-k being worried about the ace. Is betting (bluffing) there worth it, or is it stupid.

I dont think you should ever call preflop there unless you are deep. He could be trapping with AA AK, AQ, AJ alot so bet there is probably not smart.

1. Yes this is always a fold preflop.
2. Calling (you called his 3-bet) is NOT playing more aggressively
3. I don't hate the bet on the flop, but you don't usually shake KK loose with 1 bet here, so it's probably not worth it to try since you'll have to fire another street most likely.
4. I like betting the flop becuase you have 8 high and no draw, but not really for any other reason.
5. Fold preflop. Emphasis on this is important.

Id fold to the 3-bet.

I dont totally hate the flop play because people that play as TAG as sb does normally dont check this flop when they flop something big imo, but still it would be nice to have something to fall back if he calls like a gutter or even a couple of backdoor draws and if we do have fold equity here against KK-JJ we will often have to fire another bullet which sucks.

Yeah... that's kind of um... a real three bet, as opposed to a fake one
