Full Version: If It Were December 2004 Again...

I was just reminded of December 2004, and started thinking about how important that time was for me. I got married in December 2004, and I started my failure of a business 3 months later.

-I would work harder to make my company successful.

-I would force myself to work out every day and eat healthier. (thankfully that is one thing I can still do)

-I would have taken my wife on our real honeymoon by now.

-I would do everything I could possibly do to stop my inlaws from buying that house.

-If I could somehow take the poker knowledge I have now back in time I would use it to tear up the soft games. I miss party poker and I was just starting to get a clue when it went away.

I guess I'm full of regrets.

I need to channel the 2012 me and do what he would tell me to do.

I know some stupid asshole is going to make a stupid played out joke about my horseface sister in law. Maybe about how I should have married her instead of my wife, or maybe never told her to take those "modeling" pictures or something shitty and stupid like that... so just dont bother I already did it for you. I'm smart

well done.

My sister-in-law is an idiot and build for only one thing, but my wife is extremely smart and ambitious. In ****, marry, kill, my wife is definitely the the one you marry. Oh and I'm not the one that told her to have a portfolio done. She actually has an agent who represents a lot of models.

I don't really remember what happened in Dec 2004.

I think I became an alcoholic around October 04. I started college in September, started skipping classes in week 2, and started skipping full weeks by around week 5. Not really sure if I regret it or not. I don't talk to a single person I met in college anymore even though I had probably 10 people I hung out with every day (3 roomates and we lived in a townhouse near the school). It almost feels like it was a pointless experience, and slowed down my life production. Although, I did play a lot of poker online, and even though I was losing money, it was experience to help get me where I am today.

If you are still in business or are planning on starting another business I highly suggest The E Myth Revisited book.

My middle child was in the hospital for the entire month of December 2004, so I don't think I had a whole lot of options... no, I probably wouldn't change anything significant.

Thats funny, I have that book sitting on the table in front of me - my wife has been telling me to read it.

Oh and i'd invest all my money in something that went up 4000% over the last 4 years or something smile.gif

lol.

if i could go back to december 2004.

i'd have zero posts on fcp, and i'd stay the hell away from this place.

By now, i'm sure i'd be living in a mansion in a tropical destination with my best buddies and beautiful girls. sipping margaritas and listening to classic rock.

then around 8pm every night we'd light a fire and smoke a joint and listen to jack johnson
