I was distracted by this image alongside the video:

OK, my last post was because the video was only playing in 2 second increments and then pausing, but once it loaded properly, I watched it, and it's amazing. They don't appear to have any ropes or wires or anything.... that's just nuts. It was hard to watch that.
If you've been to the CN Tower with their glass floor, and think about how freaky that is, now imagine doing this....

I know, I had to turn away a few times. It actually felt like I was there with them. IDK how that is humanly possible.
I couldn't even begin to bring myself to do that.
Those guys are incredibly f-ing stupid imo.

Yeah, that's the thing I was trying to figure out... how you convince yourself to do it. Sure, you can successfully hang from a bar 99.99999% of the time, but what if this is the one that makes it not 100%? Plus, how do you ever psychologically convince yourself that you have the mental willpower to hang on when the adrenaline kicks in?
I guess it's like those free climbers who scale sheer rock faces without ropes.... they have to stay mistake-free for longer than this guy did.

That's probably not gonna help all the falling nightmares I have.
I got vertigo just from watching.

Unless I'm mistaken I think they are wearing some kind of parachute or base jumping back pack. Not to say that I still think that the video is amazing. I'd probably slip right off the crane because my hands would be sweating so much.
By the way that link is really slow. Here is a link to the video on

Yea, it looks like a backpack actually. Normal parachutes have straps that click in front of your chest so it doesnt slip off. I don't think you would want a parachute that could slip off of your arms so easily.

I dont even have to click that link, I saw that video last week and its retarded.
People were saying they had parachutes on, but No, 1 is wearing a backpack, and the other has nothing.
Crazyest part, They dont even look comfortable lifting themselves. Like they can barely do a chin up.

That's what I was thinking. I would have bet they couldn't do 5 on a normal chin up bar.

Why would they add additional weight if it wasn't a parachute?
