Edit: ***k it. I had some ideas but they are not coming out the way i want them too. Oh, the title is supposed to be game selection playing live poker. (Mods please change title)

Aside from being able to move seats to another table, is this even possible? I was thinking along the lines of choosing games with certain max buy-ins as a way to practice better game selection, among other things besides this of course. For example, i play in St. Louis. There are three casinos (Harrahs, Ameristar, and President) that offer respectively a $200, $300, and $100 max buy in to their 1-2 Nl games. I've noticed the play is very tight at the $200 buy-in games, very loose at the $300 buy in game, and very unpredictable at the $100 max game. Right now i've been killing the Harrah's game but the Ameristar game is giving me problems. The $100 max game downtown is full of retards but i hate playing with a 50 BB stack. Am i correct to stick with the $200 max game for the generalizations i made above or am i making a big deal out of nothing?

You want to crush the $300 game unless you are under rolled for it.

Sit wherever you feel you have an edge. Live game selection in most places consists of "do I play or not play" based on the game composition, since there are so few games available to choose from.

At Harrah's, they spread about 10 or so 1-2 games across the room, but they don't let you pick and choose which game you want to sit in, nor will they let you move from one game to another table, so i really don't have a choice of who i play. The $300 Ameristar game is much better in terms of game selection because they allow you to move to other tables if you request so.

honestly, I don't know where i'm going with my own thoughts here. I guess it does feel like i'm having an edge playing the $200 max at Harrahs because most the players there play tight, and play with scared money. But that could be a inappropriate generalization i'm making because that does not sound like a typical $200 max game that i hear about on this forum.

bored at work fellas.

Why would you not want to play in a loose $1/2/$300 live game?
Just serious.
