MP2 had pretty much made this play all but four hands of the 19 I had been at the table preflop, opting to be passive in the blinds. Half the time he would C-Bet.

i take the free card and look what i do on the river. i don't like to get fancy with only a little bit more than the pot behind. a little bit more info about our opponent would be helpful. lag, tag? if he's tight he's sure got you beat by now - be it only AQ high - and doesn'T buy what you're trying to sell. i let go, this seems to be near the tournament start so there are plenty plenty plenty better spots to chip up.

edit: this is not a turbo, right?

He isn't calling the flop raise OOP with many hands he's planning to fold on the turn.

hadn't seen him show down a hand. table wasn't resisting him too much, so he was pretty much mowing them down.

no, this isn't a turbo.

Make him as long as it's kept cheap. As played, checking behind is fine. We've got nothing but overs on the turn and villain could have anything from air to a flopped straight, and could be playing anything from rags to a premium hand, but we'll never know if we don't get a showdown.

Though villain called, our raise on the flop appears to have slowed him down and we may see a showdown cheap. A showdown probably unravels the routine you say the villain's settled into.

Take the free card on the turn. He's called your flop raise OOP. He's only fired a CB 1/2 the time so he's not indiscriminately firing CBs at every flop. I actually think folding the flop would be fine since you whiffed and AJ sort of sucks in the early stages of a tourney.
