When i first got book back in Jun of 07 i ordered for the humor factor~ my thinking was fulltilt was just putting out another book on poker.
How more wrong could i Have been.

This book has sections written by:
Andy block, David Grey, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, Mike Matusow, Ted Forrest, Huck Seed, Rafe Furst, Keeith Sexton,Phil Gordon and Gavin Smith ......

Andy block does an amazing section on "play before the flop" Howards section on "leverage" was something i had never seen before.
But the section that stole the show for me was the " RAZZ" section that has Huck Seed and Ted Forrest talking openly about how they play and hands they have played in the past- it made me change the way i play the game.

Because i love to play stud i was really looking foward to Ted Forrest's section on Stud8 (the section was a semi letdown ) because he goes into looking at the structure of a stud8 tourny and adjusting the play to the tourny, the only problem is there might be ONE stud8 tourny a year and thats at the WSOP.
Because Forrest is thought of a stud legend i was really let down.

Keith sexton's chapter on Stud was basic and pretty much allready covered in SS1 and in seven card stud for advanced players from 2p2.

Chris Ferguson also does a chapter on PLO ..... very good read on understanding the basics- please note iam not a PLO player and i found it helpful.

i would give this book an 8 out of 10 and should be in every poker players collection !

I haven't read the book yet, but there's several stud hi/lo tournaments running everyday online - although usually pretty low limit stuff (-$20). But for those of us who enjoy playing them, would Forrest's advice be useful?

I'm thinking of making this book my next purchase.

I thought Ferguson's chapter on NLHE after the flop was good. A lot of books start hand waving when it comes to turn and river play.

Dave ~ thats really funny you said that about Fergusons chapter - i am on the fence about that chapter ~ i should go back and re-read it.

as for the stud/8 chapter - spend the 20$ on the book its a great deal and a must have ( let me know what u think of that chapter and get back to me)
