He is playing 79/2.5, and AF for flop/turn/river are 2.13/3.17/17.00 over 160 hands.
He has no concept of hand strength apparently. He loves to minbet and minraise, and he folds to a c/bet just 20% of the time.

We are both quite deep here. Do I shove here? Do I call down? Do I reraise to ~$30 (if so, do I call a shove)? The minbet/minreraise seems strong, but who knows what he thinks is strong. He could be bluffing as well. I have no idea what range he has here.
Zach6668
Ugh.

Two competing factors here, imo.

1) He shows down ultra light, so v-bet him to death.

2) This line looks strong, but he's ultra retarded so we want to get to showdown with TPTK cheaply.

Where do we draw the line? Which factor dominates?

#2 for me

if we sit with this villian for enough time we will easily find a ton of spots to v-bet him and we have position here. villian could hold absolutely any two cards and one thing that i constantly remind myself is the donk/nits/stations do catch big hands too.

Ok, suppose I call.

Pot is $25.30, turn card is 4 icon_suit_club.gif

Effective stacks are $72.65.

Villain probably bets ~$25.
Zach6668
What makes you think villain pots it?

seems like we will could easily be playing for stacks on the river. i can get away. i don't see anything above where he is grossly overbetting a weak hand except for the TJ hand.

What makes you think villain pots it?

Ok, say he bets $18.

If I flat call there, the pot is $61 and he has $54 left on the river.

Really, whatever he bets on the turn, he has about pot or less left on the river. I don't want to call the flop and turn and then fold to a river bet. Against this kind of opponent that seems like pure spew because he just doesn't stop betting.

I don't think he's ever checking the turn after minbetting and minreraising the flop. See his J3 hand. He is totally clueless as to hand strength and other players ranges.
Zach6668
So, basically, it's just a matter of whether we want to play for stacks here or fold.

(I'm banning the first person who says "wait for a better spot".)
ah2388
while I understand that villain is an aggrotard who is going to show up with all kinds of garbage here, we really dont want to build a HUGE pot with top pair top kicker.

I think your flop raise shouldve been smaller, perhaps to 2.5 or 3 instead of 5.5(i know that was pot).

from there, the line I take is to call the turn and then value raise the river.

You want to play a small pot, but you value raise the river?

You're playing for stacks on the river with one pair, but not on the flop?

Honestly dude, between that J3o hand and the JTs hand, I'm just never gonna fold this to him. With TPTK and the BDNFD, I really don't feel bad about getting it in with someone who thinks QT is the nuts on this board. I guess that means I'd be RRing the flop for value.

No, to the flop minbet.

Or possibly I was just testing the banned waters and ignoring the actual hand...

Hard to argue against this ...

lol, I'm sorry you lost the first hand.

I call/call here as well, maybe fold a 4th diamond.

Oh ya. Should have changed the stacks lol.

I'd been waiting about an hour to get a hand against him and I wasn't about to fold TPTK after having him run over me constantly. I instashoved, and he timed down and called with 97o. He would never have folded top pair to the shove, or JT, or 86, or T8, etc.

To be fair, he owned me completely. For over an hour, I just couldn't make a pair, and then the first time I hit a hand he has me beat. Such is life.

(EDIT: When I shoved, I totally missed that we were both that deep. I thought he had a normal stack. When I saw how much of an overbet it was I kinda thought "yeah, that was dumb".)
