Man I hope so, it's a shame to see a storied franchise in such shambles...I am not a leafs fan and have not been for a long time but I might concider becoming one again if they rebuilt properly.

well you can gut the team and take stupid compensation in return...right now they have very little in the ways of prospects, and need to stock with some youth before they can rebuild. Marc Moro does not count as youth anymore!

I read something about Phil Esposito saying what they should ask the Pens for Sundin, and it was a ton but hey it'd be an awesome trade

The blues had NOTHING in the tank when the owner pulled the plug and we're back to being competitive just a few years later. I can see the leafs back to doing well in a few years... and hey, at least they have a good goaltender now. We didn't even have that

Sundin to Detroit seems to make a lot more sense to me.

YEs we dont want bandwagon fans...But they will come back eventually...Like I said before the winning is so much more sweeter when the losing is the toughest..

it's actually about a million times more enjoyable to see the Blues win after having seen them lose hard-core for a good 2-3 years. I found it endearing. I don't think it'll be all that bad for you if they decide to detonate the team, really.

Watching the Pens on this 8 game win streak is fantastic.

Watching them in the playoffs last year, after missing 3 or 5 years or whatever it was, was amazing.

If my team continually finished 9th-11th place, I would never be happy.

Serge I know you aren't going to believe me, but I'm really not a bandwagon...I was a fan of the franchise and the history, I have met almost every living Hall Of famer and quite a few of the ones who have died in the past 10 years. I have heard all the stories from the great years. I stopped being a fan in the mid to late 90's when the team wanted nothing to do with winning, but just packing the seats full. So call me a bandwagon jumper, I said if they were to rebuild properly, showing a want to win again.

the notion that the team wants nothing to do with winning is ludicrous..Yes they have made some bad decisions...However they had 4 semifinal appearances over a relatively short period..Not too many teams can say that..Yes they didnt have a cup winner but they were close on those occasions...The playoffs are a huge cash cow, especially for a team like the Leafs that dont have any extra seats to sell..I heard something today that a long playoff run can be roughly $30 million more in profit for the Leafs..So saying that they DONT WANT TO WIN is ludicrous..

I am obviously in favour of doing what is best for the team, and I am pretty confident that we will right the ship soon..IF we miss the playoffs this year , and another couple I am ok with it...However please dont say that this ownership is losing on PURPOSE.

so by your definition a leafs bandwagon jumper would have been someone who didn't like the team before the 4 semis and then liked them after right? well i didn't like them before during or after...so that wouldn't make me a bandwagon jumper
