lol not sure where that is coming from but GG to any coach who follows in the footsteps of Steve Spurrier at Florida.........duh
Duh, lol.. just saying he's not a good coach.
He's 35-37 overall as a head coach. Toss his first two years at Illinois and he's a very pedestrian 31-18. He went 8-5, 8-5, and 7-4 in three seasons at Florida and is now 0-3 in bowl games as a coach.
He's a *very* good recruiter. He's exceptional in that respect. He's just not a very good coach. At Illinois with the way the Big Ten ebbs and flows, if I had to guess, I'd say he'll be a 7-5, 8-4, coach with the occasional 9-3 year. He might stun the world and beat Ohio State but he's still gonna get outcoached by the Kirk Ferentz's and Jim Tressel's(and Rich Rodriguez's and Joe Tiller's and Bret Bielema's, IMO) of this world game in and game out.
I wouldn't expect miracles out of a guy who lost the Outback Bowl (Home games, for Christ's sakes) in back to back years against that horrid, most overrated conference which we should never speak of.
