would he really raise a 10 here (or possibly 6-6 or 10-10)? i didn't believe it. also, if he only called my three-bet, i intended to bet on the turn and fold to a raise. if he capped, i planned on the same (should i be check-folding instead if he caps?). also, i couldn't imagine what hand he might have a 6 with. the only reasonable thing i could put him on was a pocket pair (22-55, 77-99, or JJ+) or overcards (which i might push him off of). i wasn't sure if the three-bet here was correct.

he didn't raise me... overcards? i also picked up a gutshot, so i figured it might be worth it, especially if i can get overcards or a bluff to fold.

well, i improved, but i wasn't sure if this was a check-call situation or a bet situation (would he only call/raise me if i was beat). i regretted my bet after, but in retrospect, i'm not sure if it was bad, since he might have called me with 6x or 22-55 or even AK).

I'm smelling a bigger pocket pair who decided to play it prudently after you three-bet the flop with the paired kings. I'm not sure if your line was good here - the button called two cold, signalling strength on what you've been saying are TAG tables. I may have just called his raise and check/folded the turn unimproved (the gutshot you got was barely enough improvement, not enough for me to stay in for the extra BB I'd say.

The problem is that you're not in position. You won't get a free card most likely on the turn ... unless three-bet flop, check turn would look like you're setting him up for a check raise laugh.gif ?

You probably only have 6 real outs after the turn, the aces and 8's. The 9 is somewhat iffy, I think.

By the way, whatve you been doing playing all this online and not live smile.gif

yang, you seem tired. the board was paired 10's, not K's. i think you made this same mistake on another thread. i'll go point out your error on that one, too, hold on! laugh.gif

yang, you nailed it. villian had an overpair (J-J) and check-called me down.

Wow. Even when I'm too tired to type or read a post, I can still read an overpair in holdem. Playing poker has probably been programmed into my brain stem now.
