would this be a good time to call and wait for a safe turn? My thought is my hand is to good not to shovel

nh. Get as much in on the flop as you can.

to me that flop is about as gin as it gets other than the two hearts on board so i think there is no reason to call and wait for a safe card. Get it in on the flop while you have the best hand. someone correct me if im wrong.

you know if he has the nut heart draw hes only drawing to 7 outs, so make him pay as much as possible on the flop. he could easily fold the turn if the pot is too small, but the way you played it he cannot. nh.
also if he has j9 you want it in before any scare cards come

Now if we had 99 or 33, I would say that's a good spot to flat call and wait for the turn, but not with JJ.
