What type of guidelines do you follow when playing small pairs (22-77) from the SB in a limped pot? I'm not asking about how you shohuld play it postflop, as that is very much read dependent.

But preflop with limpers, is it more advantageous to limp with them? Or try and raise them out?

Does it differ if there is 1 limper or if the whole table limps?

1 limper - I raise
Whole table - limp

I almost always call. The value of 22-77 is hitting a set and taking a big pot. If you raise and get even one caller, you are playing a difficult hand OOP unless you hit the set on the flop.

If no one's opened the pot in a 6-max game i'm raising pretty much every pocket pair from any position.

Unopened, I agree, one or more limpers, I'm happy to see a cheap flop from the SB.

I play really slow from the sb with small pps. Especially when players are playing passively. I don't think it's worth it to try and take down small pots OOP by raising these types of hands.

If the pre-flop raiser is bad, I would call and try to take the pot away postflop. If not, I fold.
