Yesterday Darrell the commissioner of the AHL held a home game that was dubbed the "christmas edition"

5 owners of the AHL were playing...Myself(Mustangs), Darrell(Ghosts of Elvis), Bryan(Red Ravens) and Jesse(Scarborough Smugglers),Elliott(Rug Rats)

Some of us got there early and to warm up we played a couple of $10 freezeouts...Here is an interesting hand...Blinds are 1-1, we have 20 chips...

Jesse in early position makes it 6 to go, I look down and I see KKs...I know Jesse has a pretty big hand so I make it 12 and I know he is committed...Wendy(soon to be Mrs Red Raven) goes ALL IN over the top of me...Now Wendy plays a semi weak tight game and I actually thought that I was dead for sure and considered folding..However I am committed to the pot....Comes back to Jesse goes into the tank and he mucks 10s....Wendy to the shock of the whole table opens up pocket 9s...So I am liking it...but the flop comes 1093...turn 10 river blank...Jesse mucked quads and I finish 3rd with the best hand...

Soon after we start the game 10 handed and since its a Christmas Darrell has wrapped some gifts and if you LOSE with JJ,QQ,KK or AA at the showdown you get a wrapped gift...The gifts were in the $5 range but people were willing to go to showdown and lose $50 to get one..I got AA cracked and KKs cracked 3 times..Only went to showdown twice though..

This is how good the game was Jesse was stuck $1100...$1100 in a $5-10 game is just sick..The real sick part is he almost got even and lost almost $200...

I was by far the best player at the table..Now there are other good players like Darrell,Jesse and Bryan however they just cant play their best games when they are intimitated by greatness like myself. Also they perceive me to be a tight player, so when I raise they give me amazing action just so they can crack a premium hand. Its a stupid strategy that usually backfires on them. It was a sick game for me as I took more bad beats then I can imagine...But my superior play enabled me to make a small profit $80 and two xmas gifts...

HOCKEY CONTENT

We had the tv going and watching the Leafs game..I was playing the Rug Rats in the AHL last night, and when Wellwood scored assisted by Sundin he was on tilt...Also sweating the survivor pool as Buffalo laid a beating on Philly and Chicago on Ottawa affected Darrell's perfect record of survivor picks..

Right before we were leaving (2am) we are all hanging outside and we decided to make some prop bets on me running around the block...$20 that I couldnt run it under 4 30 seconds...I havent run in like 10 years and not in the greatest shape, especialy at 2 am after eating pizza and a few beers...Well I did it 2 minutes and 30 seconds..GG Darrell, thanks for the $20

All in all a fun night...We will be having the next game after the new year, and any FCPers in the Toronto area are welcome, just send me or Darrell a PM and we will get you the directions..

Unsure yet. Obviously, going nowhere in life, aside from poker, I'm very flexible in where I can live, so it just depends on where/if my gf gets into grad school, or whatever program she's trying to get into. Odds are it will be somewhere in southern Ontario, not sure where, specifically tho, and it won't be until sometime next summer, almost definitely after the WSOP.

I had a problem with them again yesterday, after ignoring it for the most part. When they **** up my Pens games tho, I get pissed. They said they'd give me $4.xx for the day, lol. Then I realized they had given me back all the premium programming for whatever reason (movie channels, nhl network, leafs network, etc), and the game was on the NHL Network, so I got to watch it anyways. Still pissed at them.

I think she's gonna do the 2 year Vet Tech program (college) after her Biology degree, for whatever reason, before deciding on whether she'll go to Grad school or not with the Bio degree. I don't get it, but I support her to find something she wants to do.

So yeah, if she gets into a Vet Tech program in Stratford, I'll move there with you.

I have a friend that went to vet school. I'm pretty sure Ridgetown is the best school for that.
