http://w.fulltiltpoker.com/sunday-brawl?ke...kFYQUVKODY3RVo-In the tournament above, how if at all would the decision you make be affected by the knockout bounty? Would it be +EV to call someones all-in more liberaly for the $40 knockout bonus? Or is the overall prize money too important to alter your strategy for the sake of $40?
I know it's not a paticulary common tournament, but i thought i could bring up some interesting EV and c$EV spots.

Your link is not working. I'm guessing it's the $240 + $16.
In the latest CardPlayer issue Todd Brunson actually wrote an article about bounty tournaments and strategy adjustments for them. However, it is not up on their website yet.
He doesn't address tournaments like this where everyone has a bounty but more along the lines of 1 bounty at each table type tournaments. He advocates playing according to the size of the bounty in relation to the prize pool. Basically it's -EV to call an all-in with marginal holdings in hopes of collecting a small bounty when your reducing your chance at the big money in the prize pool. He does write that in some bounty structures where the bounty is large that you can loosen up slightly when you have the chance to collect. The example he gives of this is the Bay 101 Shooting Stars where each bounty is $5000 and the buy-in is $10,000.
So I would say just play your game, play to win the tournament and you'll probably collect a couple bounties along the way anyhow. As I am writing this I thought about how some of the other players might call down with weaker hands than they might not normally, so perhaps you have slightly less fold-equity..?
