While tragic the deaths of MLK JFK AND RFK are a testament to the skill of the american sharpshooter.

I'm sure I'll get mocked for this, but I think I can make as compelling an argument for him as anyone else can for their choice.

Steve Irwin.

Why?
Besides the human sob story that many other choices have (wife, 2 young kids, etc.), Irwin was as important to his chosen passion as anyone else. He taught literally hundreds of millions of people around the world about all sorts of animals that you didn't even know existed before he came along; the awareness he brought to the mistreatment of animals around the world, the way he helped people conquer (without ever meeting them) unreasonable fears of various animals, the training he provided to countless animal workers... his death left a great void in his field, one that probably won't ever be filled.

Irwin is tragic in that theatrical sense.

I'm pretty sure he taught people that ****ing with wild animals is indeed stupid, just like we thought.

MLK yes, but the other two were shot from close quarters, unless you believe the 'official story'

Douglas Adams

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

It is a rare mind indeed that can render the hitherto non-existent blindingly obvious. The cry 'I could have thought of that' is a very popular and misleading one, for the fact is that they didn't, and a very significant and revealing fact it is too.

Nope. I'm not saying he's the most tragic, but he was a great man.

But did Jody Foster call you afterwards?

did she REALLY say it was kind of a turn-on, or did I make that up in my head just now?

no, your initial response was pretty funny, so you still win. But I have to agree with you... that kind of accuracy is superhuman. The game, while offensive, did a pretty good job of proving that point I'd say.

In my mind, drug overdoses are never tragic... only stupid.
ps... I cried when I heard Chris Farley died... j/s

I cried as well. I met him one time at Planet Hollywood. Really nice guy, but higher than a kite on God knows what. His handlers/enablers pretty much kept him propped up throughout the day. Really, really sad to see. He was a mess.

Was listening to the radio on the drive home 2nite and sublime came on. I would have liked to see what they could have put out if it were not for heroin.

while i don't think any death caused by drugs (brad nowell, mitch hedberg, chris farley) or suicide (kurt cobain) is tragic, i too would have liked to see sublime put out some more music.

I would say these people
