he would've probably led out or raised a set on that flop to protect against a straight draw, bet a little more than 2/3 the pot (about 11-12) so that he has no odds with his likely 67xx

I agree.

Bet $11-12 and call a shove.

You're going broke if he flopped a set.

Which leads me to another question. I have to be c-betting WAY TOO MUCH for people to be checking sets to me twice. Or maybe it's that I won't call many pot bets on that flop or turn.

FWIW, I like how he played it, apart from open limping. You're folding to a flop shove most of the time.

Yup. Your strategy is too exploitable. Try only c-betting when the flop is A-high (to represent AAxx) or when you flop the nut flush draw or better. Check behind otherwise. Mix in checking behind with big hands and betting with nothing at about 10% frequency, and you will be golden.

You should be c/betting at least 75% of HU flops.
