The reason I don't often raise with weaker hands such as this one from UTG and UTG+1 are so that I can still call a raise from behind me, if there happens to be one, and get to a flop. If I pot it to $2.50 here, it gets repotted to $9.50, and I'm in a spot that I don't want to be in, having to call and put 20% of a stack in preflop with single suited connectors. Put me in the cutoff or on the button with a limper in front, I raise it 90% of the time now.
