Play more aggressively on the flop...lead at it, at least. If not that then at least c/r. You want to get it all in here if necessary - TP w/the NFD is hot.

I raise preflop (600) everyday. After that, assuming you get a call, I would bet 1/2-2/3 pot on flop. If we get played back at, we're probably beat and I can still get away from it. If we get called, we can slow down, and make the best read we can if they go allin.

The times we raise preflop when it's folded to us in the SB and our opponent calls, we flop an ace, bet out and get raised/called are rare.

The way you played it, it's not an instacall for me, although it would be pretty hard for our opponent to put us on an ace, since we didn't raise preflop. In $0.50 sngs, I don't like calling big bets often in bubble situations. I try to make big bets and get paid off. If the blinds were higher, this would be a much easier call for me. I lean towards calling in this situation but I don't hate folding. I do hate the way you played the hand though.

You'll notice the way you played the hand, you made two mistakes. You made your opponent's decisions easier and you made your decisions more difficult. You should be raising on the SB with almost any two card in these spots. A5 is plenty good. The key is giving yourself a better chance to win the pot. Your best chance is raising preflop.

I think you should've made a big bet on the flop here. You had the aces and the flush draw, odds are in your favour.No reason not to bet big.

Raising pre vs calling pre is a matter of how comfortable you are playing OOP when an Ace hits. Pushing pre is obviously insane, because you only get called by hands that crush you.

I prefer calling pre and leading the flop, but that probably gets you to the turn at about the same pot. Villains play screams set or 2 pair here, and you dont have the odds to call, even if you have 14 good outs.
