Villain was fairly quiet up until now, tripled up with Aces a few hands ago thanks to the table donk and some guy who couldn't let his queens go.

Anybody think this is a horrific fold? is there ANY way I could've folded the turn with the price he is giving me?

I'm just going to adress preflop since I'm lazy. In my experience the players at the very low limits aren't really observant enough to be wondering about what type of hands you are raising preflop. Raising suited connectors/gappers is a good idea to widen your range against opponents good enough to be thinking about range. But the donks down low won't be doing that, so I restrict my preflop raising range to the better hands.

As for the hand itself, I don't think he had a better str8 on the turn, though by the river he either sucked out with a naked ten or he had the flush. Think this is a decent fold.

You are completely right about preflop and had I been playing textbook TAG I wouldn't have got myself in to this predicament, I just get bored at these stakes. I agree that the nine doesn't really fill a higher straight in this spot and I find it difficult to believe he is check raising me with air so I was putting him on the flush. However, I was getting something like 4:1 on the turn and I couldn't bring myself to fold.

When you make this call on the turn, do you have a plan for the river? Just curious. I think it's a good fold too, esp at these stakes, you're probably better off letting people give you money than trying to make difficult calls.

I just find people get a little too caught up in pot odds sometimes and don't make plans for further streets.

I like this reply. To be honest I was expecting to have to fold on the river to a large bet. This is why I was asking if anybody thought I could get away from it on the turn.

It may be a leak.

You can fold the turn if you want. You can't beat any of the higher straights and you can't beat a flush and he's probably betting the river, which can never improve your hand.

Is this ever something like J9?
Is J9 betting the river? If not maybe the turn call, river fold is good.
