Maybe it's different in Canada but I wouldn't expect to pay more than $25-30 for a normal hat. I wouldn't call the retro trucker hat "normal".

I had something similar happen at a Canucks game. They gave away free hats to the first 1000 people in the gates, and someone (Naslund?) scored a hatrick. I had brought an expensive hat to the game, so I was happy to have something cheap to throw.

I brought a shitty hat to the Pens/Sens game I went to in December because I had a really good feeling Sykora was going to score his first ever hat trick.

Spezza got a hat trick. I did not throw my hat.

Sykora had 0 points.

When I went to the Bruins/Leafs game I just had my old dirty Bruins hat, so I bought a new one for $30, and wore it to the Atlanta game the next day when Lucic scored a hattrick, tough titties for him, he's not getting a 1 day old $30 hat from me!

The little d-bag has been doing that to me for 4 years now in the league-that-must-not-be-named. All of his big games are on non-league nights or nights when I bench him because of non-performance. He's one of the most unpredictable, frustrating fantasy hockey players in NHL history.

I'll echo that sentiment and throw in another douche, Tomas Plekanec. I had him all over the place last year, and he didnt do dick. This year, he's a ppg.

In one trade last year, very early in the season, I got Plekanec and Erat. I thought I was buying low. All I got was season long frustration.
