i loved wonder showzen, but never really got into clone high. haven't heard of the 12 oz mouse one. synopsis?

12 oz mouse is awesome. its about a mouse name mouse fitzgerald who goes around doing odd jobs for beer. its really weird.

Here's a synopsis.... apparently the chic of bad art is continuing to spiral so far down that it's now okay to use stick figures in cartons. I know that perhaps it can be done to make a certain statement, and to let the audience focus on the material, but in this case, I can't see how it can be true and i think in general it's lazy, stoned slacker animators. So the art is terrible. but that would be okay, if the show was funny. But it's not, it's really, really dumb, and I don't understand how anyone could think it was funny unless they were stoned to the gills, huffing on nitrous. this show is a steaming pile of crap, and a great example of everything that's wrong with many adult swim cartoons.. IE they are made by stoners, for stoners, and have no real wit or humor.

the art is the best part about that show. the colors they use, the shapes, its surrealistic and interesting. much more interesting than just about any other cartoon where you dont even notice the art.

either that or it's creative laziness. You can make something surrealistic and interesting and not make it look like it was drawn by a 5 year old. I know, I know, I'm sure it takes a true artist to make something faux-five year old look good. Well, I think it looks like crap, and watching the show makes me feel dumber. I watched two of those links, and I got literally angry watching it, I thought it was so bad.

I hated 12 oz as well.

I'm gaining a fondness for Lucy lately.

I tried to like 12 Oz. Mouse out of affection for Adult Swim. Couldn't do it. It's terribly drawn (I realize that it's on purpose) and pretty much never funny. I think I watched 3-4 episodes. The only time I laughed was at the little squirrel (I think it's a squirrel) that jumps up and down and squeaks. Just so we're clear on the "art" not being the issue...Squidbillies' animation bothered me initially also, but the characters/plots were amusing.

The best show that barely anyone watched was Andy Richter Controls the Universe.

i bought wonder showzen the day it came out on DVD. so happy to have it.

I used to smoke a lot of pot in my younger days, and I enjoy watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force simply because 1/2 the episodes make you feel that you are high. lol. There is also something so damn beautiful in having someone as worthless as Carl portrayed as the Greek Tragic Hero ™.

Now there's a poor animated stoner show I can get behind. ATHF is everything that 12 oz tries to be, but is not. IE funny.
