As a former child, I feel it is my duty to make sure that the good candy is handed out. It will be a wonderful day when Kids no longer fear getting raisins, or those black and orange taffy things. Thats why each kid that comes by my place gets a miniature Baby Ruth, and two small Nerds packages.

I've been handing out hard candy to the kids that are trick-or-treating in my office. They all seem so diappointed.

I will buy a bag of candy and give out the shit stuff first and hope that there are enough Kit Kats left for later
but I absolutely abhor Halloween so the kids should be thankful that I give out candy to begin with

I don't give out any candy personally but my mom would always give starburst, M&Ms, snickers, milky way, twix, kit kats, butterfingers.. The works.. and they were the normal sized ones so people would come by 2-3 times.
Now that I'm at school, I have no clue if she still gets the door. I'd assume so.

I've never seen a Kit Kat wrapper like this one...ohh I guess it's a UK Kit Kat.

One house I lived in during college my roomies and I went and bought all kinds of righteous candy to give out and didn't get a single trick or treater. not one.
So for the next year I saved all my condiment packets from taco bell, mcdonald's etc and gave them out the following year.
six kids were sorely disappointed that year my friends. little bastards.

We take our kids to another neighborhood, where I used to live.

I haven't gone trick or treating around my college, but when i was in high school and in junior college me and my buddues would trick or treat around UC Santa Cruz campus (hippies), and we would score weed and booze. Even some old people would laugh at us for being so old and still trick or treating, so they would give us booze also.

When I was a kid, we were pretty poor. Every Halloween, there was always this one Hawaiian guy who would give out full size candy bars (needless to say, when we were breaking into cars or vandalizing shit, that dude had the absolute fucking immunity idol)
I always said that if I ever had a buck or two, I'd do the same thing when I grew up..

Or outside on the trampoline.
Or at soccer practice.

half the kids who showed up last night weren't even wearing costumes (or maybe the ones they were wearing just sucked so bad i couldn't tell). i gave out more/better stuff to the kids that at least tried. i felt bad giving anything to the kid wearing a t-shirt and jeans collecting candy in his backpack, and didn't even say "trick or treat." now that's just lazy...on second thought i should have given him the most...

Not as in, 2, or a few- a quarter- per kid. Now, I can do math and can see how that could add up, but to me that's just lazy. It's like people that give gift cards at Christmas- what, you can't stand in a candy aisle and not be overwhelmed by the choices? Just put some candy in the cart and and freakin buy it. My

Thats kinda sad tho. I mean, ALL kids love to dress up on Halloween, even if its a poorly put together costume. But when I see kids who arent dressed up I assume (which, I know, I shouldnt do) that his or her parents arent invloved enough with their kids, or perhaps dont have the money to purchase a costume. The latter isnt really an excuse tho, as I could whip up about 20 different costumes just using household items.
Just sad to see kids not dressed up on Halloween, is all.

We only got about 50 kids. I would say 80% of them tried. The other 20% were week. Sadly for them we give out candy by appearance. The cute 4 yr old in the really cool witches costume got one of each candy (we had 5 I think). The 12 year old who put a boller on his head , he got a starburst.
