everytime i watch poker on tv now i see them taping peoples hats or shirts..

like Dans

anyone knows whats the deal they didn't do this two years ago..

i think some shows can't show sponsors its why they fuzz out brand names on t shirts on mtv sometimes

then again his shirt is sort of an ad
Balloon guy
That's Gaff tape

They were trying a new form of subliminal advertisement, but I told them it wouldn't work they need to put their name out there, not just their product.

I am seriously thinking that in 10 more years, we will look back on this time and remember it as that time when people watched poker on TV.

They weren't allowing the .com on any piece of clothing..... I think.

Depends on the show and who is the sponsor.

Some of the poker shows I have seen on Fox Sports that are sponsored by Full Tilt will just take the FTP.com hats and have them put the .net sticker on them.
El Guapo
Its not just sponsors, Dan Harringtons Bosox hats have been covered up by the WPT, probably because the travel channeling was worrying about licensing fees from the MLB, obv not a prob on ESPN.

The .com/.net thing has to do with TV rules regarding advertising gambling websites.
The .net variants are usually the "playmoney only" versions, so they're permitted.

At the 2006 WSOP almost every online player had those because they all said things like pokerstars.com or fulltiltpoker.com, however .com is a gambling site so those needed to be taped. If they said pokerstars.net or fulltiltpoker.net, it would have been fine. At the WPT, they have those because they don't allow sponsorships (or something like that).

Seems to me look back 5 years ago it didn't matter at the time on TV now with all these DOT coms and nets.. they made the rules for them all..
