Bet the flop rather than check/calling. You can't fold, so you may as well gain as much fold equity as possible.
Raising those kind of hands preflop is good.

I agree.
Since you are short i like leading. If you were deeper , a check/raise would be good too.

What all 3 of them said. If you are deeper, which you should be

, then I would check raise this often.

On the 1/2 buy in topic, this is about my 4th of 5th time sitting at PLO or any Omaha for that matter..didn't really wanna lose, mostly observe and learn how it's played, compared to NLHE. Thanks for the tips!

And don't raise UTG with that hand preflop, you'll be in a tough spot postflop.

That's a 100% instaraise preflop.

I sometimes re-raise UTG with that hand preflop.

Well, you guys are nuts. I could see raising from LP, but from UTG?

That is a premium hand.

It is? Lots of straight potentials, yes, but no full house potential and only 1 half-decent flush potential. This is easily a hand that could get you into lots of trouble postflop.

I guess coming from holdem the premium hands appear different. KK and QQ aren't particularly powerful unless they are suited or well connected, but a hand like 3457 with one suit is actually deceptively strong, and has great equity on a large % of flops.
I would much, much rather have 5689 single suited than KK82 rainbow.

My fav hand is 9875. I love 9875. 9875 is the nuts!
