I've been in a HU match with the guy for a while and have a very good idea how he plays. With me checking the second time I assumed he'd see weakness as if I was patting a junk hand and put in a bet giving me more money.

So I'm curious if a donkey play IN THIS EXACT SITUATION. I'd never do this without a read or in a ring game. Lemme know.

The play is fine to throw in occasionally in an attempt to get an extra bet in the pot with a made hand. If villain is aggro and will bet anytime it's checked to him even if he's a card behind, do it more often.

if the villain is the type that will bet for you every time he improves, that's fine. but usually i reserve c/ring for the times that we're even going into a street and i improve from oop.
