Standard, or leave a little rope and let him hang himself on the turn? (he's only got $15 left)

To me that seems standard. I think if he has an 8, which he almost certainly does, that he's not getting away from it. Also possible that a diamond on the turn might slow him down, so I would just try to push him in on the flop.

Don't think he folds any 8 here. Get it in on the flop.

I raise to 12$ but it doesn't make a big difference.

There's so many possible hands he has here that he's not going to fold, so i think it's better to get it in here incase he has a hand that he might fold to a scare card on the turn.

since im a big fan of trapping, i just call the 4 bucks, and then check it on the turn, youll make him think he is strong and he will probably move it in..

Get it in ASAP on flop. You want him to pay big to draw to a better 8's full than you.
