not too shabby

“I think that, certainly with the travel that we do, that any advantage that we give our players is going to benefit us in the long term,” said Stars General Manager Doug Armstrong. “We probably travel more than anyone in the NHL right now, and to have a plane like this and to have the seating where the players can recline, it’s going to really enhance our travel and make things a lot better for us. And I think there will be a competitive advantage, not only to our team, but also in acquiring free agents.”

Dallas fan?

Never! Oilers fan detest Dallas after we developed a rivalry with them in the late 90's. Especially Derrian Hatcher and Ed Belfour the two players I loved to hate when Dallas came to town.

The Penguins probably get to fly on this....

That's brilliant, I love it.

I actually saw that in an article about a month ago, which said that Niskanen had been expected to donate the car to charity but he ended up wanting to keep it. Not sure what ultimately happened to the "Nisky", but it's a great video in any event.

*Edit* I did a little poking around and found a news story on the Stars video channel that said the car will probably be going up for charity auction (as the team collectively put roughly $20k into the prank), but that Niskanen is considering bidding on it himself so he can keep it and give some money to charity at the same time. I knew a guy that did it with his Roller Hockey Skates on, and he said it was easier than with his foot.

They had a segment about this on CBC the other week. It was hillarious. The car is being auctioned off for charity though - I guess Matt finally decided he was making enough money to buy himself a better car. This is a pretty good way of team building though. Turco is definitely a good teammate.
