Pretty sure we have to stack off here don't we? Given our image? I would guess that its QJ/9J/TJ a fair amount of the time.

You can't 3bet the flop and then fold here. If you think you're good and want to 3bet, then fistpump when he shoves and call.
Normally I'm playing this flop for pot control all day though because a ton of hands beat you, and a ton of hands are probably 40/60ing you. (Any J and a pair combo). Not much would make me fold here especially if I've been laggy. I call raise on flop, and check/call turn. If an 8 comes, I would fold, thats about it.

What if a king comes? Can we get away from top set here?

Can we be more specific about this? Are you saying that we should just call his raise on the flop?
Assuming we do so, is our plan to check or lead the turn, or does it all depend on the card? What type of cards are we checking and what type of cards are we betting?

Instacall. Aces I might think about, but given that we're holding kings, two likely outs, plus a gutshot that can kill a combo-draws 2 pair outs, this is a call all day.
If he's jack king off oh well, he nutted on you.

Trying to narrow down his range here:
If you've been raising a lot of pots pre-flop and the BB has played back at you once already, i would think he would raise back with nines tens or queens so i think a set is unlikely.
9Ts and QTs are possibilities and imo would play it the same way the villain did.
A J and a pair combo is also a big possibiliy too.
Ignoring the possibility of a set, you're 37% to win over 9T of clubs and a 66% favourite over QJ of spades.
You're getting about 1.8 - 1 on the call, adding in metagame reasons and the possibility he's bluffing or massively overplaying AQ or something i think this should be a call.

Marginal. We need info: what has villain been calling PF raises with?
If we know he calls with mid-broadways, this is more likely QT or KJ than AQ ... maaaaybe it's QJ.
If we know he's a premium hand player, this is AQ. Or AA. ... OOPS.

Probably not on the turn, as you could easily have sucked out on him, and if not, you have outs to the boat. On the river, if you check, he might think QT is still good and shove. So that would depend on my opponent. I don't know if I'd get away from top set though. Would be based on how the hand felt more than anything else.

He's definitely not just a premium hand player. He's been playing somewhat loosely but probably is a little thrown since I keep raising in front of him. I expect him to defend the BB here with a fairly large range.

I guess we're in agreement that calling's correct. I called. He had JT and bricked. He chewed me out: "sick call...sick bad...your never ahead there donk" Me: "Yeah, I probably would've folded AA."

Clearly you are never ahead there.

If we assume he rarely has a set (would he reraise preflop with 99?), we are dead to J8 and KJ, and we have a full 9 outs against any 2 pair combination.
I think it's a pretty clear call.

Never a fold. Him bitching is just stupid, but he made a good play. It just turns out that you aren't ever folding with this hand, so, oh well for him.
