I would suspect I am in pretty bad shape here with 5 seeing that flop. Against any hand that contains a set we are a 2/1 dog and even worse if he has spades. 2p with straight draw is about 50/50. I think I would have to lay this one down with only $1.10 invested and look for a better opportunity to play for stacks.

I play it exactly the same.

It's my attempt to weight the hand combinations (TTxx is unrealistic because it includes hands like TT62 rainbow).

# BBBB - any four big cards (A,K,Q,J)
# MMMM - any four middle cards (T,9,8,7)
# ZZZZ - any four small cards (6,5,4,3,2)
# LLLL - any four "low" cards (A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
# NNNN - any four "no-low" cards (K,Q,J,T,9)
# WWWW - any four wheel cards (A,2,3,4,5)

I reason that TTxx will usually have middle cards/high cards with it to limp UTG, so the first two deal with top set.

88xx is unlikely to limp without some backup, so I put in NN for any two cards 9-K. Sometimes people will limp 8822, but to balance they may not limp 889Q. I think 88xx is less likely than TTxx.

9JQ may pot this flop, but not all combinations of 9QJ will be in his range, so I narrow it to 9JQ with a card 9-K.

89TJ will pot the flop, as will T8 with spades.

Hey, if it justifies me getting my money in I'm all for it.

You are pretty much dead on though.

I lead this and put it in if i get raised pretty much everytime.

If you play these hands fast , people will call your pf raises with a wider range. Because flop action is cheap and fun.

We got it all in, he had 88 I think for middle set, I hit a spade on the river ftw.
