Is this a hand we want to take a chance of getting check raised out of while having position on the river?

Check behind. Villain has QJ a huge % of the time.

Agree on the check. Are we counting our clubs as outs?

If river is 2 icon_suit_club.gif and he pots what's our action?

What about J icon_suit_heart.gif and if villain pots?
simo_8ball
Probably call if it's a club and fold if it's a jack. Not entirely sure though.

What if the turn was the 9 icon_suit_spade.gif instead? Bet/Call?
simo_8ball
Oh hells yeah.

EDIT: Maybe not, actually. I don't know. Depends on villain.

With no reads on opponent the only thing I pay off on river is a club.

This is a definite turn bet to me. QJ would bet that turn - let him call with his weaker king or flush draw without odds to do so. If positions were reversed you would never be checking that turn with the straight out of position, unless it's a total maniac behind, in fear of giving a free card to a set or a flush draw or even better straight. At these limits a lot of your money is won by being the aggressor in hands and forcing people to call weak draws without pot odds to do so. Maybe just bet 2/3 on the turn and if you get raised then give it up, but I really doubt that the straight is ever checking there unless he has a big re draw too.

I'd play pot control. Check behind on the turn and call a river bet unless it's a jack.
