now, mid/low pocket pairs have treated me rather well, but given how inexperienced I was at the time, I probably should have folded. Do you think I made the right call or was I a complete donkey?

you donkey, you really need to fold that after this part:

Tadadonk raises to $5.75

you need like 10 to 1 to call and hit a set. have enough to make it slightly unprofitable but he doesn't have that much.

This is a cash game not a tournament small pairs go down in value.

LHE = Limit Holdem

I play 0 limit poker but I don't think its profitable to cold call 3 bets with 55 preflop

thanks :teeth:

this hand is quite old actually, but I'm also fairly new to playing poker. At that point I had no idea what I was doing - and in hindsight, I def. was a donkey. Having lucked out and sucked out, I would probably never do that again. I was happy to post it for entertainment value for you guys though bubble_lol.gif

hey, he's not that bad...smells a little but he means well.

my god I are confused cat. So final answer this is PL? Either way in NL or PL you can't call the raise to 5.75 preflop, but I'm sure you know that now.

I love UTGs flop and turn bets, with only 85 cents left and $80 in the pot he gives one of his opponents two chances to misclick and fold. That's 3rd level thinking right there!
Zach6668
lol, yes. fold preflop before you put a dollar in this pot. smile.gif

yeah but it was still one of the dumbest calls of all time. even when I called, I was like this is such a donkey move, Nate would kill me, I can't believe I'm this dumb (prior to hitting all in).

it's nice to suck out but I think I've used up all my suck out cards this year.
