Was at the game tonight vs, Pittsburgh, I posted my observations in the Pens thread if ya want to read it (more traffic in that thread).

The Avalanche have a very solid team....Joe Sakic is one of my favourite non leaf players of all time and is an all around good guy....Love to see him win a cup this year,(if its not the Leafs)

weeeeeee, Theodore stones the Flames once again and we improve to 3-0 this season against them and we've took 7 straight from them.

Only saw the first period and I'm surprised we won like this after it. Kipper was playing great and we failed on a 5-on-3 PP for over a minute. Tanguay's goal was just sick, Theodore had no chance really, and our goal coulda easily been called back since Smyth sorat bumped Kipper, coulda been called either way and luckily went ours.

Minnesota took care of Edmonton pretty well so they keep a 1 pt division lead. Me and my girl have tickets to the game against Edmonton next wednesday. This will be her first Avs game, so i made sure to pick the worst opponent possible

Great game for the whole 60 minutes, very action packed. The Oilers played incredibly well, if they played like that most of the time they'd have more than 10 points. Nice to see Lappy contribute offensively, 2G and 1A. Budaj let in 3 1st priods goals but was a brick wall after that and went 3/4 in the SO.

We sat next to a couple who were from Edmonton but just moved to Denver 2 years ago cause 'the weather was better' lol. They had their son with them who could not have been older than 1. He had a t-shirt on the said I <3 Edmonton Hockey. It was fun trying to watch the mom watch the game and be a mom. 'Aw, you're such a cute little baby!! You want your bot-YES!! WHAT A SHOT!!, You want your bottle, huh?'

as theodore's owner in the yahoo fantasy league, I sincerely hope so.

Since Theodore is playing 5x better than last season and Budaj is playing just aswell, I wouldnt be surprised if they split starts untill one of them goes either goes hot or cold.

At least from what I've seen, I think Theodore is playing way better than Budaj. He got dismantled in StL and Chicago because his defense let him down time and again. Toews is obviously great at what he does, but that goal was absolutely ****ing embarrassing for the Avs D.

Leopold doesn't count. He is like Demitra, you have to assume he is missing 40+ games going into a season.

Leopold has been the only injury on the defense and Hejduk has missed 5 games up front. Laperriere's injury may be the beginning.

he was doing really well until this. gotta say, I don't envy the goaltenders. Poker players like to whine about variance, but I cannot imagine how frustrated I would be with it as a goalie.
