How many of you "My Boys" fans have seen this show? I thought it was pretty dang funny.
hank213
Yeah I like it. The sarcasm bit last night cracked me up pretty good. The real reason I tune in though:
powerpoker
I watched this show twice and it made me laugh both times so this is a keeper until i get bored with it.

The guy with the nintendo controller for belt cracks me up

I like it. It's about nerdy physicists who talk about quantum mechanics. So, yeah, it's up my alley.

SBriand
I don't like it.

I think this expresses my feelings almost perfectly...

Honestly, this show is terrible. It's very, very bad, like "Phantom Menace" bad. The show revolves around two socially -- and potentially, mentally -- handicapped physics geeks who live across the hall from a hot, nice blonde girl who is stereotypically dumb but still nice enough to hang out with the geeks. They sit around and spew pop culture references at each other, including such tell-tale nerd buzz words as "Klingon" and "Battlestar Galactica" . I imagine the two guys and the girl will eventually teach each other valuable life lessons. And I imagine the fake studio audience will sigh sweetly when it happens. And I imagine if I'm in some sort of "Clockwork Orange" torture scenario being forced to watch "Big Bang Theory," I will likely gag. But let's hope that doesn't happen.

All the actors seem to be trying, including the always likable Johnny Galecki of "Roseanne" fame. It's just that the material is incredibly degrading to its already two-dimensional cultural stereotypes. I guess I shouldn't expect anything else from the network that gives us "Two and a Half Men."

I didn't. Even when my wife and I decided to watch all of them, we did actually skip that one. smile.gif
magnus72
It's on at the same time as Chuck so I just turn it over on commercials but what I did get to see of the show was pretty funny.
SuitedAces21
For some reason I watched it and for some reason, I laughed.

Dude... at least watch the pod race. Make sure you turn your stereo way up.
bleacherbum3
I find this show mildly amusing.

It's also on Tuesday nights. It's called Beauty and the Geek.
Ron_Mexico
I think it is pretty amusing and I laughed audibly at least 2 or 3 times during the last episode.
brvheart
This show still has a lot of promise. I'll be back next week.

Penny: Leonard, I didn't know you played the cello?

Leonard: Yeah... my parents felt that naming me Leonard, and putting me in Advanced Placement classes wasn't getting me beaten up enough....
Speed Limit
Saw the first episode, and stopped after that.

Random note #1: Are they EVER going to fix that fucking elevator?????

I don't think so either.

#2: Nice to see appearances from the former Roseanne cast members. Darlene twice now, and Aunt Jackie last week.

I just don't want to miss the episode with Tracy Lords.

Aunt Jackie last week.

Oh, right, that's who that was.

I'm still watching. It's amusing enough.
Vandees
I like the show. Its very funny. Those of you who don't watch it probably are just too stupid to get the humor.

Just kidding, but if you don't like it, give it another chance. All 4 of the monday sitcoms are good: How I met your mother, 2 1/2 men, big bang, and rules of engagement.

Willing to bet they fix it for an episode and they get stuck in it.

This last episode was the best so far.

I agree, i thought the first few were pretty funny, but this one was by far the best.
Gigalow 2000
Seen it a couple times and meh.

If it wasn't on right before 2.5 Men and Rules of Engagement I wouldn't watch it.
Ron_Mexico
couple of good laughs tonight. I'll keep watching.

I used to be obsessed with Kaley Cuoco, back when 8 Simple Rules started. I don't really find her hot anymore, but when I was like 17, I was banned from her fansite forum 10 or 20 times. First wave for lewd and hysterical comments, and second wave for celebrating the death of John Ritter; which shot, by the way, I called two weeks -- to the day -- before his death. I'm a bad person.
brvheart
Monday's show was very funny... probably my favorite. This is one of just a handful of shows that have like no backup screenplays, so this show is done until the writer's strike is over. I am sad.

Also the Charlie Waffles songs on 2 1/2 men were hilarious this week.

"No more boobies, no more boobies, I'm on to sippy cup....."
brvheart

You don't like much of anything. I'm keeping a mental list of stuff you don't like. It looks like this so far:

pretty much everything except video games. Actually, most of those as well, but you still play them.

The show is silly but good for a laugh or two every episode. I like the horny jew.

also, who ever wrote your little criticism is a complete moron. Two and a half men is excellent as far as sitcoms go.

yes great show. The only reason I started watching it was because I was watching what was on cbs before it and just didn't change the station and started to find it funny and now I can't miss it.

This show just sounds like anothe Married With Children, which was one of the stupidest pieces of TV that ever came out of an exec's *******. A huge steaming pile of shit. Shame on you if you laughed at any of it.

And all of the Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars sucked major ass.

I'm pretty sure a space camel farts in Jar Jar's general direction before the pod race.

I didn't care for Married with Children but I like The Big Bang Theory. Big Bang's writing is more clever and the characters are likeable.

I did like married with children cause I just thought al bundy was great. didn't really like the kids just liked him and peg.

I wouldn't even really put the two in the same comparison though. They really don't have much in common I think. Big Bang definetly has much more characters that you like.

I've thought about this and I really fail to see the comparison. How, other than they're both sitcoms, are they all that similar?

Last nights episode was probably my favorite one ever. I hope Mexico watches last nights episode and gets back into this show.

The entire scene and every scene leading up to Sheldon getting that Napkin from Penny was absolute gold. It's hard to describe how awesome that last scene was. I was laughing for...ever at Sheldon's reaction. HAHAHAHAH

I would lay money on the fact that that episode will still be on my Tivo 2 years from now.

If you want a weekly pro-liberal funny, pause and enjoy.

I mean it all depends on when you're watching it. Back when it first came out it was as "racy" as TV got which was one of the biggest reasons so many people watched it. It also depends on your age when it first came out. I was pretty young, so its obviously going to be funnier to me since I had no mature sense of humor back then.

Would I watch it every week if it was a new show that just came out? No. But I'll watch an episode every now and then because it's a classic to me.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what the word racy means.

Tonight's show was beyond hilarious. This show delivers each and every week - it's so amazing how consistently funny it is.

Penny and Leonard need to hook up, though - I think it would do the show a lot of good for them to be in a relationship. They got so close tonight, I thought for sure it was going to happen.
