I have been watching this show since it started.. I can NOT believe Flower (The leader of the whiskers group) has died. I am actually heartbroken over this.

I actually have been championing the Meerkat since Lion King; long before the inception of Meerkat Manor. In high school, I wrote a paper about The Ugly Duckling, and in it I created a character I still cite today:

[...]Let’s go back to the conventional perception, and why it’s wrong. If the message is one of depth, or one against superficiality, shouldn’t the story contain examples of deep, capable people thriving? Shouldn’t the hero be the cat, or the hen? Or maybe a new character – like a fast-talking meerkat from a seedy modeling agency. He’d set up shop near the Swan Pond, and armed with nothing more than a cheap Nikon, a mall-style kiosk and a pocketful of promises, he’d proceed to take those beautiful, vanity-driven simpletons for every breadcrumb they’d ever been able to ****-tease away from the working world [...]

The paper had to be rewritten, because it was so full of profanity, but the message is still there: Meerkats > Swans.

I'm still not over losing Shakespear and now this...........

During the summer I'd hang out with this guy I worked with sometimes and smoke. And we'd watch this show. His girlfriend was obsessed with it, but we hated it. He would always stand up and pretend he was "mowing them down with a semi-automatic" and we'd die laughing as his girlfriend yelled at us.

My roommate and I used to toke and watch Top Model with his girlfriend, while I made horrible and lewd comments while we laughed our asses off, and she threw pillows at us and called me racial slurs. The climax came when I said Elyse Sewell was so hot I didn't even have to choke myself while jerking off to her, she called me tiny-pricked slant, I whipped it out and said, "right here," and she threw an 8-pound box of vacuum-cleaner bags at it, which I artfully dodged.
