Seeking advice from the FCP Razz players out there on how I could of played this hand better. I feel good about part of my line, but I feel like something is missing I can't see. Part of is bad beat though, but the result to me is not the issue (although it sucked ass). But what I am curious about is HOW I could of avoided it/saved money from it (big part of Razz IMO is to stagnate losses)
I bet river as part defensive bet, part hoping he'll be dumb enough to fold, since I've already observed he'll call 4 bet cold with something that's NOT A23 (cause I have it, he has A48 lol).

Wow. You run good like I do.
Don't blame villain for betting on 6th where he is ahead, I definitely check/call the river, because your opponent is drawing at a 7 low that you can't beat. He isn't folding a hand that beats 98 low, and he's raising you with anything that improved his hand and/or a bluff..
You're costing yourself a bet to gain information, which is silly. Also, if you check the river, you allow him to bluff the river with a hand worse than yours, which is where you can actually profit. The river gets bet anyways, but you might as well, be the check/caller to improve your chances of actually winning a bet on the river should 9-8 low be good.
Just an ugly spot. You started strong, and you ended up with a drawing hand, and one that was drawing to a low your opponent could shut out on the river anyways.
Definitely check/call the river, it's the only way to profit with the better hand. He's not calling a bet often enough if he missed his draw, unless you have seen evidence he's a weak, weak player.

That better?
Now give me a sec to take a look... ya, what Cappy said. No point in betting the river - that's the thing with your best hand being obv in Razz a lot of the time. I'm not loving the bet on 4th either, but at that point you're probably still coin flipping.

bad raise on 4th. the 3bet/cap on 3rd means that you're both going to a 6 or better most of the time, so the 7 puts him ahead of you. beyond that, standard. villain should have raised 4th.
c/cing the end against an aggro villain is probably a better line than betting, but bet is fine against most players.

meh, i'm never a fan of betting a rough 9 on 7th. c/c is fine to me.
all said, the bet on 4th is a donkbet at best. it's not horrendous, but if you haven't already tipped off the strength of your downcards, you did with that bet. villain definitely didn't pair, so i don't know why you raise 4th, and you're basically getting the same effect by calling. you're not going to be able to isolate here.

Thanks for the conversion, Frez. For some reason, I couldn't make it look as good as you did with the suits and cards in tow.
As for the hand, yes, I was aggrodonkin' it on 4th street and beyond. My NLHE tourney instincts kind of took over here. "I have A23 mofo and I am not going to lose this god dmaned hand: CLICK BETBETBETBETBET!!!!!!1111"
Although I will say, I bet the rough 9 on 7th partly because I though I MIGHT have caught back up with the best hand (although highly unlikely as one pointed out, again aggrodonking), I MIGHT get him to fold (although not likely, but I've seen people make worse mistakes), and also because it was kind of like a defensive blocker bet because I would NOT have called a raise on the river.
I still have alot to learn about Razz and Razz tournies, although I have shown success at 15/30 cash and won a $24+2 118 Razz MTT last month. I appreciate the critizism and comments on the hand. I've learned alot. Thanks, guys!
