Ooooh yeah that too . It doesn't look as fresh/awesome/revolutionary as Mario Galaxy (at least what I saw looks similar to the GameCube game, just updated), but I'm sure it'll be friggin sweet.

I've read it's taking so long because they are working on making it online multiplayer, which would be pretty sweet for a game of that type. The real problem is they don't have a back end for that type of gaming like X-box Live. Nintendo needs to get on that ASAP.

What does that mean? I'm not good with the insider jargon . Also are you talking about Mario Kart or Smash Bros? Because Mario Kart is definitely gonna be online multiplayer, racing and battlling, and it's gonna be sooooooo good.

I mean their online infrastructure for organizing and getting players together online isn't nearly as streamlined and effective as X-box live. I like Nintendo's innovation, but they this is one area where copying a competitor would be extremely helpful long term.

From what I've read in Game Informer, the Nintendo president still seems to think that Microsoft and Sony are going overboard with their online strategies. He throws out legit numbers that more Wii's are online than XBox's...which is true. However he fails to say that most people that are "online" are playing around with the Voting Channel, News Channel, etc. instead of online gaming. He also blasted Playstation and XBox for being FPS heavy when it came to online gaming.

Yea, it's a slight spin job. Nothing compared to the shit Sony tries to spoon feed us.



The problem is online gaming in Japan isn't as big as it is here, outside of MMORPG's it's just not a huge market for them. They aren't as big on FPS games as the US and Korea is the mecca of RTS online gaming, so I don't think Nintendo fully understands the appeal of online play yet because it hasn't been a target demographic for them. They have made nice strides with the DS Wifi, but they need to get something better in place for the Wii.

I gotta get that, but I've still barely scratched the surface of Zelda.

I got pretty far in zelda, although I admit I never finished it. I'm pretty close to beating Metroid which easily has the best FPS controls for any console. When I watched halo3 vids and see them tapping the joystick up to aim up, I laugh!!! Plus best graphics on wii yet.

Yeah I played the first couple levels at my friend's house, and it's awesome. I got bored fairly early in Metroid on GameCube and never played it much (I don't own a GameCube, but my roommate did), but Wii Metroid is pretty amazing.

Estimated time it will take me to figure out my Wireless secure key # and password : 2 hours (I don't use wireless for internets, I plug in).

Just google your model and pull up the manufacturer's PDF on it. Shouldn't be hard to figure out, you might have to open some ports for Wii traffic though I can't remember.

I did and it was all I hoped it could be. Such an awesome game, though I still think the flying dragon on the city in the sky board is prolly the best boss/fight in the game.

I've been a really big fan of Wii since it's come out but now that Halo 3 is out I don't think I'll be playing anything else for a while.

It took me 2 years just to get the addiction of Halo 2 out of my system!

Zelda was amazing!! I was skeptical at first but I loved the controls and thought it was a great game and huge improvement over the windwaker. Still not as good as Ocarina but I think that was the greatest game of all time so I can deal with it not being that amazing.

Nice! Although I think they should call it a "sleeve." I was totally invisioning like a jacket that I wear, with nintendo logos on it or something.

I must be the only one on Earth that frigging HATES nintendo. All their games look and sound so gay. They are all cartoons and really terrible graphically. I loath Nintendo.

Anyways I think Nintendo is a helluva lot more interesting than XBOX or Playstation or whatever, where every game is set in dark grey, black, and brown rooms and landscapes, and every game involves shooting thousands of people until you finally shoot the last person (or alien, or zombie) and you win. Which isn't to say that I'm not looking forward to the new GTA...

Not all 360 and PS3 or Xbox or PS2 games are like that. Way to over generalize.Plus the vast majority of all games are on all 3 or more consoles.

Oh yeah I know, and I've played some friggin awesome games on the 360, but my favorite games only come out on Nintendo, and I do think that they have many more unique types of games than the other systems (and of course some of their "unique" games suck).

Nintendo probably has the strongest first party development of any of the consoles. They are always trying to do something new where Sony and Microsoft just try and take the last thing and make it a little more shiny.

I only have the Wii currently though and will be getting a 360 this weekend cause I do like to blow people up.

Of the next gen consoles I only have a Wii right now also, though I've played the 360 enough from my old roommates systems.

I'll probably pick one up this Christmas after a few more titles I want show up (GTA4, Mass Effect).

Yes they do, but they are also extremely fun. Animal Crossing consumed many hours of my life when I really got into it.

I heard it was going to get moved, but I didn't know how far back. Mass Effect plus a few of the other RPG's that have recently come out will fill in till then.

QFT! Yeah some of their games are too kiddy for me but they take more chances and usually end up hitting the best! The Zelda and Mario series have been great even that weren't quite as good and I love old school mega man even if the new generation sucks. I can't wait for Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart, I hope it's more like the 64 version because double dash was subpar to me.

Did you ever play with eight players? If you didn't...you definitely didn't get the full experience.
