1/2 NL live, sitting MP with $280 from $300, I limp with 5-6 suited, limped around, 4 players, 1 shorts stack ($80?) and one large stack ($900?). Flop comes 3-4-7 / 3 suited). Checked to me, I bet 20 into 8, short stack (BB) calls and big stack (UTG) calls. Turn is a 4, two spades on the board. BB small stack bets 20, UTG raises to 80, what do you do here?

some 1/2 players are bad enough that they're drawig to 2 outs here... some aren't, and yo0u're drawing dead. Reads on players.

Re-raise all in. You want to charge trips and the flush to draw to their hands.

Reads and prior history would be nice.

Against complete unknowns playing 1/2 live, I would shove my life away.

You mean 4 outs?

I check - call down from here barring another 4, 7 or 3 on the river.

Part of this is for pot control, the other part is to allow others to come along for the ride.

A pair has 4 outs

Trips have 10 outs

What has 2 outs?

Not to divert from the OP, but there's two players in the pot. digest that and then pm me if you still want to. it's stupid to keep this in the thread.

I ended up pushing and the big stack had flopped a set of 7's and turned the boat. I guess in hindsight the money was all going to get in there no matter what, oh well, that's how my month's been going.

Yet pushing is wrong here to max expectation you should have just bet enough to get a call because the chances he will call an all in isn't as good as he will call down for more and more also the other player will follow along; this option also would have saved you money. slow play nuts if they are raiseing why not?

There was a bet of 30 and a raise to 80, not shoving is criminal. Not only are you almost assured to get a call, we are very short after putting in the 80. What should we do, minraise and keep a 1/4 a buyin behind for cab fair?
